Gabrielle Karampelas

Gabrielle is responsible for the management and design of communications, public relations and marketing plans for the overall Agency as well as providing leadership in creating strategies and implementation plans for establishing, building and leveraging community, media and legislative relations to support the agency’s strategic objectives.
Gabrielle’s background combines public administration, marketing and nonprofit management. During her tenure at the United States Fund for UNICEF (the United Nations Children’s Fund) Gabrielle served as both regional manager and national marketing manager for “Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF,” the organization’s flagship youth program increasing regional program participation and revenue by 110%. She developed corporate alliances and spearheaded relationships with the National Basketball Association, Coinstar and Pier 1 Imports. Gabrielle coordinated PR events, including appearances on Larry King Live and news stations throughout the country and led the development and distribution of all marketing collateral, including over five million collection boxes to over 300 distribution channels. Gabrielle’s public sector experience extends back to her time in the Office of Constituent Services for the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office and more recently in her former position as public relations officer with the City and County of San Francisco. Gabrielle obtained a Masters in Public Administration from University of San Francisco and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
