Reduce Taxes by Donating an IRA
12/31/07 Deadline!
Anyone age 70½ years or older can make a charitable gift from individual retirement accounts (IRAs) without increasing their taxable income or paying additional taxes. Prior to the Pension Protection Act of 2006, any money taken from an IRA would be reported as taxable income—even if the funds were being used to support charitable causes. The Act currently allows individuals to transfer money directly from an IRA to Community Gatepath without penalty.
For more information on donating to Gatepath from your IRA, please contact, Gabrielle Karampelas at 650-259-8500.
