Presenting Our Work Of Art...
Community Gatepath has a wonderful Expressive Art Program that was created to give adults with developmental disabilities an avenue of communication through visual arts.  Participants enrolled in this program have developed amazing works of art that have been shown at a local stores, such as Bay Homes and Linens on “B” Street in San Mateo and at Fairs, such as Festa Italiana.

A few of the participants in the art program have received another opportunity from the San Mateo Commission on Disabilities to showcase their wonderful talents.  From October 1 - October 26 five pieces of artwork created by seven of our Adult Services participants will be displayed at Hillsdale Shopping Center (Former Mervyn’s Space - Inside Lower and Upper Levels).  The art will then be transferred to San Mateo City Hall Atrium for an Artists’ Reception and Silent Auction on Monday, October 26, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

We encourage everyone to support our participants as they showcase their art at the above venues.  If you are interested in attending the Artists’ Reception, tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
