Life Skills Trainer, Temporary

Summary:

Community Gatepath is the largest non-profit serving people with developmental disabilities in San Mateo County. We are looking for Life Skills Trainers to work in our Adult Services. You will be responsible for assisting in and carrying out the daily activities of the program. Support clients in achieving their goals while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Promote socialization skills and fine and gross motor skills. Assist clients in all daily personal hygiene program. Provide input for evaluation reports and individual goal plans for participants. And assist in maintaining and updating participant database.

Education/Experience:

Minimum High School completion required; Associate Degree preferred. Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred but not required. College course work in social services, psychology, or other pertinent coursework, a plus.

Licensing Requirements:

Valid California Driver's License, ability to obtain a DMV record and a criminal clearance.

The hourly range for this position is $12.00 – 14.00 DOE. The hours are M-F, 9-3pm (30 hours per week).
