The new state-of-the-art building has allowed us to serve more infants and children with special needs, as well as open our classrooms to children without disabilities. Gatepath installed special observation rooms within the building to facilitate parent learning and professional collaboration and offer virtual seminars on preferred practices in therapy and parent support. The Center is fast becoming a cornerstone in the community with the unique services taking place inside serving as models for others locally and nationally to learn from and replicate.
Lobby $250,000
The lobby was designed to be bright and cheery, greeting all visitors and guests to our early intervention or preschool services. Families wait in this area for class to begin. Plush rocking toys and other interactive toys are set for children to explore while they wait. Special features include, a mail and communications room, an intercom system to notify therapists of family arrivals, a dual phone system for preschool and early intervention calls and secured access to ensure only families and authorized guests enter the building. The automatic doors allow for accessibility and have a child safety feature included making it impossible for little children to exit the building without an adult.
Preschool Playground $250,000
The Preschool Playground is specifically designed for children ages three to five of all abilities. Careful thought was put into the placement of structures and playscapes, like the clubhouse, amphitheater and sandbox, to extend learning outdoors. This environment encourages motor, social and emotional skill development. The soft surfaces underneath the play structure create a safe environment for children to learn and explore. Outdoor play builds confidence in children with their independent movement.
Early Intervention Motor Room $150,000
The Early Intervention Motor Room offers a space specifically designed for structured and unstructured play during individual and group therapy sessions. Physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions in the Motor Room improve a child’s muscle tone and strength, coordination, balance, attention span, communication skills, and overall confidence in performing independent movement.
(2) Preschool Classroom $150,000
Students with and without special needs attend Learning Links Preschool, Gatepath’s inclusive preschool program, in these two large classrooms. Learning Links provides children of all abilities a supportive and creative learning environment. Special education and general education teachers co-lead these classes to support the achievement of students’ goals, preparing them for a smooth transition into kindergarten.
Early Intervention Playground $100,000
Provides special education teachers and therapists with an outdoor learning environment designed for toddlers in early intervention programs. Outdoor play encourages motor and social skill development critical for children birth to three.
Early Intervention Staff Offices $100,000
A bay of cubicles designed to encourage discussion and brainstorming among therapists, teachers and aides that also includes 6 foot cabinets for each staff to store specialized toys designed to promote learning and development. The cubical design promotes interdisciplinary sharing while also providing staff with needed security and privacy to fully support our children and families.
Social Language Classroom $100,000
Social Language classes offer support for children on the Autism spectrum. The program uses specific curricula to facilitate communication, social interactions, and cognitive skills. The Social Language Classroom is one of several rooms in the Center that has special observation windows to facilitate parent learning and professional collaboration.
Large Early Intervention Classroom $100,000
Early childhood development classes include circle time for music and communication; developmental rotations to work on sensory, fine motor, and cognitive skills; snack time to address any feeding needs; and gross motor playtime. These activities promote all areas of development, including cognition, communication, social and emotional abilities, self-help skills, and fine and gross motor skills. Some classes offer more specialized programs, such as the Speech Class, Transition Class (Preschool readiness class); and Motor Class.
Preschool Motor Room $75,000
Sensorimotor room that allows for structured and/or unstructured motor play to improve muscle tone and strength, coordination, balance, attention span and communication skills, and confidence in moving independently. This room provides the preschool classes with an indoor play area that gives teachers a dedicated space for small group activity and instruction minimizing distraction among students.
Early Intervention Classroom $75,000
This room is designed to foster class participation for children ages birth to 3. This class is perfect for our baby classes which like other early childhood development classes include circle time; sensory, fine motor, and cognitive skills development. Parent participation is very important, especially for families of babies with special needs and is an essential part of all Gatepath classes.
Conference Room $50,000
This room allows space for individuals to come from within and outside of the agency to coordinate services for children; to collaborate on community projects; and to host meetings with families.
Preschool Outdoor Play Structure $50,000
Fun from top to bottom, this play structure allows kids to twist and turn down its curvy slide. Interactive panels on the structure engage children of all abilities in a variety of fun and educational activities.
Amphitheater $50,000
A great stage designed for outdoor performances. Incorporating clever landscape, the amphitheater has various heights for audience seating and provides children with opportunities to enjoy dramatic and pretend play.
Family Resource Center Office $25,000
Family Resource Center staff offer support, mentoring, and essential resources to navigate the educational and social service systems our families encounter.
Computer Room $25,000
Professionals and support staff utilize this room for documentation and research for program development and overall care coordination.
Preschool Staff Office $25,000
Our Preschool staff utilize this room for documentation and research for program development and overall care coordination.
Therapy Room $25,000
Therapy rooms for small group or one-on-one speech, special education, and occupational therapy sessions. Teachers and therapists are able to work with kids on feeding; self-help; cognitive; social; and communication skills.
(2) Playground Picnic Area $25,000
An outdoor space for preschool students to enjoy snacks and other eating activities during times of good weather. Students also utilize this area for moments of rest between riding tricycles, playing tag, building in the sandbox and enjoying the twists and turns of the slide.
(6) Individual Therapy Room $15,000
Individual therapy rooms for one-on-one speech, special education, and occupational therapy sessions. Teachers and therapists are able to work with kids on feeding; self-help; cognitive; social; and communication skills.
Office/Therapy Room $15,000
A shared observation room for the Preschool Coordinator and visiting therapists providing services to preschool children with special needs.
Staff Office $15,000
A multi-person office that provides space for Children’s billing services staff and visiting experts.
Manager Office $15,000
A multi-person office utilized by the Vice President and Director of Children’s Services. The setup allows for close collaboration and open communication among the leadership and management of Children’s Services.
(2) Playhouse $15,000
Playhouses encourage imaginary play, allowing the students to use the structure to identify with familiar places in the community, like libraries, grocery stores, schools and banks.
(3) Book Nook $10,000
Private areas designed to foster and develop an interest in reading. Students can select from a rack of age appropriate books to read themselves or to have read to them. Raised seating areas are also included in each nook.
Sandbox $5,000
What playground would be complete without a sandbox? Another great opportunity for student to express themselves artistically, with sculptures or using their imagination to come up with a creative playscape!
Play Area $5,000
A playpen with interactive panels on all four sides, allowing a child to engage in multiple motor and social skill development activities.

Trees provide elements of nature on the playground and allow a child to exploring the sounds, smells and feel of nature during unstructured outdoor play. |
